WHY I'M BORROWING
I am looking to pay off the remainder of the debt I accrued whilst at university before moving to London in 4 months to further my career
ANY EXISTING ZOPA LOANS & PREVIOUS APPLICATIONS
(1 - I have no existing Zopa loans
(2 - I applied for a loan but was sadly unsuccessful (perhaps to do with my age)
WHY I'M A SAFE PAIR OF HANDS
I may only be 23 years old but I am responsible with my money (lesson learnt after coming out of university with rather more debt that I have now). I work for a major commercial bank and am in the process of transferring to another part of the bank in central London (to be closer to family and friends). I currently pay almost £200 a month from the debts I hold but with also trying to save for my move I am not able to make as much of a dent in them each month as I would like hence I would like this loan to pay them all off and close the accounts down. I don't really use eBay anymore but when I did (albeit a few years ago) I had a 100% approval rating
THE STATE OF MY FINANCES
After tax I bring home approximately £1250 per month, of this £325 goes on the rent for my current house, £35 on my phone bill and around £160 on general bills (council tax, gas, electricity, phone, broadband etc), I give myself £400 a month on general expenses (travel, entertainment etc). The remainder of my money gets split between saving for my move and paying off existing debts
Currently I hold
Student Barclaycard - £1000 @ 12.9% (typically I pay £50 per month to this)
Student Mastercard with Natwest - £1300 @ 15.9% (£50 per month)
Student overdraft with Natwest - £2200 @ 0% (between £50 and £100)
The account that I currently hold and use on a day to day basis has a £100 overdraft on it but has never been used so far. If successful, I will pay off and close all of the above debts. I will always have the money to pay the loan back budgeted aside.

please can you explain why you intend to pay off your £2200 Student overdraft with Natwest given it has 0% interest. can you also give us some information on how your salary will be affected by your move to London and your expences, particularly your housing and travel costs. Thank you.
Answer:
Apologies, I meant to say in the above that the 0% on the Natwest overdraft expires in September when it will go up to 8.9%
Regarding the move to London, in the worst case scenario my salary will stay the same (however I am expecting to go up to £23,000), also I will be given a London living allowance by my employer which is £3020 per annum.
I have sorted accommodation for when I make the move, the rent (inclusive of bills) will be £500 per month. I also imagine that travel will not exceed £99.40 per month (the price of a zone 1 & 2 travel-card).

For a banker your arithmetic needs a little improving. You quote £400 for general expenses (travel, entertainment etc) yet in the breakdown it's £400 fun and frolics (seems a bit high) and an additional £40 travel. London will offer endless opportunities to spend money. Do you intend being strict with yourself? Paying off debt sooner rather than later will be much better for you in the long term. Take advantage of low rates while you can!

Thanks for your good wishes, to clarify, the £400 in general expenses is the same £400 that is in fun and frolics (I should have been more specific, if I could go back to amend the profile I would do so). The £40 travel I quoted is what I spend now (the entirety of that goes on the bus to and from work).
I do intend on being strict with myself because I know in the long term that is what is required. I also know that London can be expensive but I do go almost every week on the £400 pounds I have allocated (to see family and friends), I don't ever spend more than this per month on myself (I generally come in below that amount) and I manage to have plenty of fun.
