Questions about this listing

Lenders are invited to ask questions to borrowers. Borrowers will be notified of any questions and can answer if they wish. They may choose not to respond to questions that are too intrusive though.

Question asked on: Tuesday, 9th February 2010

Question asked by:

averygoodbar

Question: dsainsbury,

You might want to look at other listings to get an idea how this works and the likelihood of such an ambitious outcome. In my experience as a lender, you don't have a chance in hell at getting 4%.

You have to remember that lenders have to pay fees and tax on money they lend so, to reach an average of 4%, that doesn't offer any return on investment.

Let's be fair here, would any bank give you such a low rate?

averygoodbar

Answer: Point taken and understand. I have amended my desired rate taking into account your comments. THANK YOU

ZopaStaff

Question: This question is posed by Zopa Staff and is being asked so that you can clarify the information provided on your Listing to Zopa lenders who are considering bidding. Failure to respond to this question in a timely manner may result in your Listing being withdrawn.

Hi dsainsbury,

As discussed please can you give a breakdown of the £3000 you receive a month and please also give the total you have outstanding on your credit cards currently?

Thanks.

Zopa.

Answer: My income of £3000pm is made up of £2700 salary and £300 monthly contribution to household by my partner. I also have one main credit card that has a balance of £5100 currently owing on it.

Question: Hi dsainsbury
Are you willing to indicate your preferred rate in more realistic terms? You look to be a good potential borrower, but I'm not going to tie money up in a Listing that will either not be fully funded, or that you will ultimately decline because you regard the rate as too high. My guess is that I'm not alone.

Answer: My main aim is to beat the banks. Currently the best offer I can find out there is 7.9 from aliance and leics so anything below would be accepted by me if I get full funding. I joined ZOPA also as a lender to stick my fingers up at the banks really as they rip people off and gready. Love the CO-Operative way that ZOPA lends... POWER TO THE PEOPLE.. :-)

Question asked by:

Bobsie

Question: You have a good monthly income but there is no sign of saving and the credit card debt is surprising. Why and why?

Answer: I have savings tied up in zopa and places where i cant get access to it easily not massive but healthy sum for rainy day. The credit card is interest free for another 6months and will be paid off when it runs out.

Question: Wishing you a great holiday. Cape Town, the Garden Route, and Safari are all amazing. Make sure you stop stop off in Franschhoek.

Quick question, why such a specific amount £8,120? Also if it's not to imposing, why so much for a holiday? £8k goes a long way in ZA. If you're doing it in style, that will be good enough for me.

Good luck.
