WHY I'M BORROWING
My daughter gained a place (one of only thirty) and started a course at dance college in London last September. She receives no state help with funding for this course, and as she is not yet eighteen she does not qualify for the student loans that older students can access. Her dad died last year just as she was taking her GCSE exams,which she bravely carried on to take, so we are a single parent family trying to support her with her dream of becoming a dancer. We are doing every we can to pay her fees - she works at the weekends to help. I need this loan to pay her fees until the summer when she will work full time during her holidays to go towards next terms fees.
WHY I'M A SAFE PAIR OF HANDS
I have a secure full-time job and am working as many extra hours as I can. I am determined to keep my daughter at dance college.
THE STATE OF MY FINANCES
Although I currently have outstanding borrowing I am meeting my repayments and I have recently received a pay increase at work. Some of my outstanding debt was to pay for funeral expenses from the death previously mentioned.
