Rapid Return

When you need access to your money quickly.

What if you need access to money you've lent out before your borrowers are due to pay it back?

You can use Rapid Return to cash out some or all of your market loans, using the following steps:

• Login in to your account and go to 'Rapid Return' in your 'Lending' section.
• Select the loans that you want to cash out.
• For each of these loans, the system looks for other lenders offering to the same market at the same or a lower interest rate.
• Where a match can be found, each loan is then permanently transferred to the lowest bidding lender in that market.
• That lucky lender will then earn the interest rate that you were charging on that loan, even if they offered at a lower rate, and your total outstanding capital on the loan is recovered from their offered funds.
• Zopa deduct a 1% admin fee from the transferred capital and the remaining balance is instantly transferred to your holding account.
• You can then withdraw these funds to your bank account as normal.

Rapid Return cannot be used to cash out loans:

• That were made to borrowers via Listings. (Listings were removed from Zopa in July 2011)
• Where the borrower has ever missed a repayment on the loan.
• Where a repayment from the borrower is being processed.
• That were made by a Consumer Credit Licensed lender.
• Where there isn't another lender offering at a rate low enough.
