So, over to Young Market Borrower numero uno: Sylvette Hello! So tell us how you found out about Zopa
Firstly, I'd like to say a big thank you to you all for the loan :-). Glad we could help! What did you like about Zopa then? I like both the low rates and the flexibilty to pay the full amount back early without penalities. Moreover, I think it's a really great concept in comparison to the traditional credit brokers. And are you planning to use the loan for something fun? Well, first I want to pay off a Debenhams store card that I've not used for 6 months and has high interest rates, then I'll be using the rest to go on holiday to New York in October. It's my first visit there and I'm really excited! We're all jealous! So let's find out a bit more: what's your all-time favourite movie? There are so many movies that I like, but I'd say my favourite is Gone With the Wind. I know it's old, but I just love the story and the characters. Oooh - that's a goody. And have you ever stood next to a famous person? Yes! I was in Dorothy Perkins on Oxford Street and I suddenly realised I was looking at the actor Adrien Brody. I think he was with two female friends - not sure what he was doing in there otherwise!
Excellent - that's just round the corner from our offices - I'll have to go

And now over to Andrew. How did you find out about Zopa? I was having a moan about banks with a friend because I'd been rejected for an important loan and he suggested you guys. Two days later, I'd registered and applied! Crikey - you don't hang about! So what did you like about Zopa? I like that a lot of people have come together with the intention of helping someone out. It's an amazingly simple idea; if only it could be transferred onto a larger scale in terms of a world view! And what are you planning on using your loan for? Half the loan will be used to repay an existing debt and I'll use the other half for something fun - I'll create a memory that makes me smile! Nice! And let's find out more about you - if you're karaoke-ing, what are you singing? My usual karaoke songs are Ring of Fire by Jonny Cash, Kiss by Prince or 99 Red Ballons by Nena, but the way I'm feeling right now, I'd probably go for Three Little Birds by Bob Marley. You sound like something of an expert! So what are your hobbies? My two main hobbies are music and martial arts. I've been in bands since I was 15 and it's what I know best. There's a connection between the two but that's a bit deep for a newsletter! So you can do a great rendition of Kung Fu Fighting! Well thanks for talking to us and enjoy your loan! |
